COVID-19 Food bank service update: 6th April 2020

6th April 2020

We are currently extremely busy responding to enquiries and will respond to enquiries as quickly as we can.

Changes to our services

All of our centres are temporarily closed to members of the public. We want to reinforce the STAY AT HOME message in order to help reduce transmissions of the virus.

We are implementing social distancing measures to reduce interaction between people in order to assist in reducing the likelihood of transmissions of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

We are still distributing basic food parcels via our referral agencies. Agencies will be responsible for collecting and delivering food to their clients.

How to access support

Our service will continue to respond to those in extreme and immediate crisis and therefore we urge everyone in need of food support to contact their local referral agencies or city council response hubs.

Manchester residents can contact Manchester Community Response Hub on 0800 234 6123.

Trafford residents can contact the Trafford Community Response Hub on 0300 330 9073.

Obviously this is a situation that is changing all the time, so we are keeping updated with government guidance.

Please keep referring to our website and social media for updates and any further changes to our service.

Thank you for your patience.

The Trustees,
Bridging the Gap (Manchester)
Manchester South Central Foodbank
