2024 has been another tough year for our families on the lowest incomes who have faced significant hunger and hardship. Yet, because of the incredible generosity of our local communities; schools, churches, community groups, sports groups, companies and individuals donating to us, together, we are making an incredible difference to transform the lives of people struggling to afford the essentials.
This is a quick look back on 2024 highlighting all the support, services and hard work that has gone into supporting our local communities.
Manchester South Central Foodbank
“Just a thank you for your service as I don’t know what families would do if your services were not available. I have always found the staff/volunteers helpful and approachable.” (referral partner)
“I love the service and that you can get help without feeling that you are being judged.” (client)
More Than Food Projects
“Thank you for everything the school and the foodbank have done for my family. They kept us going…when we were forced to leave our home.” (holiday hunger recipient)
“I live alone, no family close by, Christmas can feel sad for me and a bit lonely. This is a lovely pick me up thank you.” (care hamper recipient)
“Thanks so much, this is definitely needed and much appreciated” (uniform recipient)
Thank you to everyone who has supported our work this year with time, food, uniform or money.
